Hello, my name is Quentin, I am 23 years old and I am from the Lyon region. My relationship with motorcycles started when I was 15, when I got my first 50CC. Then I progressed to motocross, enduro, and then my MT09.
I am a motorcycle enthusiast, and it is also very practical for me on a daily basis for my “work-school” commutes. I am very comfortable with current technology, so I had no trouble using the app.
How do you protect your motorcycle on a daily basis? #
I generally keep it in closed and secure places for work, otherwise with a disc lock, an alarm, or a chain.
What led you to equip yourself with a GPS tracker? #

I was eating in a restaurant, and I received the notification that the motorcycle had changed its tilt. Then my motorcycle disappeared from the spot where I had parked it.
I was able to track its position as it moved. It had been moved to a park 0.43 miles away, to hide it while waiting to see if I was following it and to know if it was equipped with a GPS tracker.
How did the GPS tracker help you find your motorcycle? #
The motorcycle was stolen and 20 minutes later, thanks to the app where I could track the motorcycle, I managed to find it. No police units were available, so I had to manage on my own.
You recovered your motorcycle very quickly. Is there still a follow-up to this theft? #
Yes, I was able to recover it very quickly. I had to file a complaint for insurance to get reimbursed for the damages done to the motorcycle, despite the $700 deductible. The thieves were never found, as is often the case…
Do you think tracking your belongings to protect them is becoming more common and that its use is democratizing? #
The use of GPS trackers is becoming more common, but not enough in my opinion. For me, it is not a way to protect your motorcycle because it does not prevent it from being stolen, but more a way to reassure the owner or to be able to find it quickly if we do not have theft insurance.
If you had to summarize this misadventure in a few words, what would you say? #
A relief to have found my motorcycle and so quickly, but the $700 deductible from the insurance bothers me, because the motorcycle was still found, so there is less money to spend on insurance.
