Tracking someone else's vehicle without their knowledge (a partner, an employee who has not been informed) is another matter: it is an invasion of privacy and is prohibited. In a professional context, fitting trackers to fleet vehicles is allowed provided employees are informed and the GDPR is respected.

The best spots combine discretion and good signal reception: under a seat, in the boot lining, under the rear parcel shelf or in a storage compartment in the cabin. Absolutely avoid areas surrounded by metal (chassis, under the bonnet), which create a Faraday cage effect and strongly attenuate the signal. Also leave enough access to recharge the device from time to time.

Yes, network connectivity is essential to transmit the position and the alerts: this is what sets a true GPS tracker apart from a simple Bluetooth key ring. At Invoxia, the network subscription is included for the first year, then renewable on a monthly or multi-year plan. There is no SIM card to insert: connectivity is built into the device.

It depends on the model and on how often the position is updated. The tracker transmits its position at smart intervals rather than continuously, in order to preserve the battery. As soon as a suspicious movement or a theft is detected, you switch on Lost Mode, which increases the tracking rate: up to one position per second on the GPS Tracker Pro Max and one position every 30 seconds on the GPS Tracker Pro. The GPS Tracker Classic, on the low-power LoRa network, keeps to its configured position interval instead of live tracking: there, the movement and tilt alerts are what warn you immediately.

No. The Invoxia tracker is completely self-contained: it carries its own battery and requires no connection or wiring to the vehicle's electrical system. You simply slide it under a seat, into the boot or the glove box in a few seconds, then recharge it occasionally. This install-free approach also makes it more discreet than a wired tracker, which cannot be spotted through the wiring loom.

Report the theft to the authorities immediately, then share the Theft Report generated from the Invoxia app with them: it contains the last known position and the vehicle's movement history. Never try to recover your car yourself: pass the information on to the authorities, who alone are entitled to step in.

In optimal conditions, accuracy is within a few metres. It can degrade in dense environments (underground car park, narrow street surrounded by buildings). Even when the GPS signal is momentarily unavailable, the movement and tilt alerts based on the accelerometer stay active and warn you of any abnormal displacement.
